Do you like school?

Yes. I love learning new things and I know that I will need the information I am learning in the future (for the most part).

What are you excited about for this year?

I am incredibly excited about finishing up my general education courses and getting into the major-specific courses this upcoming spring! I am also excited about the dorm I will be living in and my suitemates (:

What are you nervous about for this year?

I am nervous about adding work into my schedule and time management. I am also a little nervous about my social life because so many of my friends from last year will not be returning to SEU.

What courses are you taking?

This fall I will be taking Intro to Probability & Statistics, Human Behavior 1, New Testament Survey, Fundamentals of Speech, and American History.

What are your favorite subjects?

My favorite subjects are math, science, and social sciences. Sadly, I finished my required science courses in my first semester lol.

What is your schedule like this year?

I have 4 courses MWF 11-2:50 and 1 class on Tuesdays from 12-1:15. I have Thursdays off this semester (THANK GOD).

Do you do extracurricular activities?

I am currently a leader for my school’s dance ministry “Redeemed Dancers of Glory”, or RDG. I also volunteer with an 2 outreach ministries for children in low-income neighborhoods.

What is your favorite thing about your school?

My favorite thing about my school is being able to get my degree while also drawing closer to God. My school is very Christ-centered and creates the perfect environment for a growing relationship with Christ.

Tips on how to survive a boring lecture?

Sit in the front so you feel more obligated to at least LOOK like you’re paying attention. Try to take notes to keep yourself engaged. Bring a cold drink to keep you awake.

What are your academic goals for the year?

This past spring semester I made the Dean’s List because of my GPA. My goal for this year is to make the List again and improve my GPA even more, possibly getting a 4.0 for the semester.

How do you balance academics, social life, and internet life?

Good question. I’m still working on that lol. Last year, I didn’t keep up with my internet life, so it’s hard to say. Blogging is something I enjoy, so I would like to say I’ll keep up with it. Most of the courses I will be taking this year are actually things I am interested in, so hopefully they will keep me from avoiding the work. As for social life, being a part of RDG helps because I get to be around my favorite people even if I’m being productive.

I hope you all enjoyed learning a little more about me and what I will be doing this fall. If you’d like to read more about my life as a full time college student, check out these posts! If you have any questions about college life, SEU, or anything else, feel free to leave a comment!
