Spring 2020 has been a WEIRD time for all of us. In a way, it feels like we went straight from winter to summer and there was nothing in between except Netflix, the kitchen, and a LOT of self-care. Even though times have been a little… strange, I still wanted to give y’all a list of the things that have been getting me through. So here’s a list of my spring 2020 favorites!

Album: Kid Krow, Conan Gray

Conan has been one of my favorite artists, if not my #1. Recently, he released his first full length album and if you haven’t listened to it yet or any of his music, I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you do so. He’s great. I love him.

Podcast: EcoChic

I have tried many times to get into podcasts and it never really stuck, but I am in love with the Eco Chic podcast, hosted by Laura E. Diaz. In this podcast, she discusses the science behind climate change and practical things everyone can do to make a difference. She also has many guests on the podcast that are often small business owners or even founders of larger eco-friendly corporations. One of my favorite guest starts so far has been Danielle Monet, who you may know from her role of Trina on Victorious. Her story is actually pretty inspiring, so I advise you to check her out and Eco Chic, as well.

Book: the sun and her flowers

One of my New Years resolutions is to read 12 books this year. Quarantine has definitely helped with that. One of my favorite books I have read thus far has been the sun and her flowers by Rupi Kaur. This book has five sections: wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming, and discusses the healing process through beautiful poetry. I read it while I was visiting my best friend in Texas and distinctly remember bawling on the plane while reading it.

Beauty Product: Que Bella Skin Brightening Papaya Peel Off Face Mask

Que Bella is a great brand for everyone. It’s cheap and has such a large variety. They even offer several face masks that are 100% vegan, such as this Skin Brightening Papaya Peel Off Mask. I have really sensitive skin and haven’t experienced any reaction to any of their masks.

Movie: Perks of Being A Wallflower

During quarantine, I have made it my mission to watch more cult classic movies because I’ve pretty much only seen Disney movies. This has led to a looooong watchlist on Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu. But one of my favorites (of the movies I’ve watched so far) is Perks of Being A Wallflower.

TV Show: NCIS

I started watching NCIS when I was a kid whenever my parents would watch it. I’ve decided to binge the series during quarantine and I LOVE IT. Such a good watch, especially if you like crime shows. 10/10 recommend.

So there are some of my favorites for the spring of 2020. This has been a crazy and hectic time and nobody really knows what’s going on at any point in time honestly. But what I do know, is that self care is extremely important. If you ever need to talk, my email is linked below so just shoot me an email or DM me on instagram!
